A HIGH street store is looking for inspirational women living in Huddersfield.

Marks & Spencer has teamed up with charity Wellbeing of Women to launch its Inspirational Women of the Year awards.

The new campaign aims to encourage people to nominate women who deserve special recognition for outstanding and inspiring achievements.

Liz Campbell, director of Wellbeing of Women, explained: "Everyone knows at least one woman whose achievements could be an inspiration to us all."

To nominate themselves or somebody they know for an award, entrants need to describe in their own words their, or their nominee's, inspiring story and outline why their entry deserves to win.

Entries can be emailed to wellbeingofwomen@rcog.org.uk, with the words Inspirational Women of the Year Entry in the subject field.

Alternatively, they can be posted to: Inspirational Women of the Year Awards, Wellbeing of Women, 27 Sussex Place, London. NW1 4SP.

The name, address and daytime telephone numbers of both the entrant and nominee must be included.

The closing date is 5.30pm on June 1.

A panel of judges will initially select nine regional finalists.

Out of these, five will be shortlisted and win £250 worth of M&S gift vouchers and a VIP trip to London to attend the Inspirational Women of the Year awards Gala dinner on June 26.

The night, to be hosted by newsreader Kirsty Young at The Dorchester Hotel, will see one lucky winner crowned Britain's Most Inspirational Woman 2007.

They will win a luxury break for two, £500 worth of M&S vouchers and M&S flowers for a year.
