WOMEN are urged to join a special group set up to champion their cause in society.
Kirklees Women's Equality Network looks at a range of issues which affect women.
The next meeting will be at Huddersfield Town Hall at 6.30pm on Thursday, July 8.
Help with child care costs and other support is available to help people to attend.
The meeting will feature a discussion about mental health services for women and plans for next year's International Women's Day Festival.
The festival has fun and relaxing activities such as massage and beauty sessions, as well as serious advice and workshops on women's careers, domestic violence and women's health.
At this year's festival almost 60 events were organised and more than 4,200 people attended, at a cost of under £2.50 a head.
The network works closely with Kirklees Council and other organisations to help improve things for women.
Successes have included a review of childcare for disabled children, which led to the council employing a special official.
Anyone can join the network.
