A COLLEGE student has scooped a part as an extra in BBC crime drama Accused.

Danielle Wilson, from Berry Brow, will play a hen party reveller in the popular TV show filmed in Manchester.

And that’s not the only exciting news for Danielle this year.

Because the 20-year-old has also found out she has got through to the finals of Miss West Yorkshire – and she could be in with the chance of becoming the next Miss England.

Danielle, who is a cheerleader for the Bradford Bulls, told the Examiner: “I would definitely like to get into acting but I will need a lot more experience.

“I’ve never actually seen the show before – they’ve already had one series and this is the second – but I’ll definitely be watching it now though.

“We’re going to be filmed out on a hen party in Manchester going down Deansgate and wearing tutus and hen party gear.”

Danielle, who works part time as a waitress at Woodsome Hall Golf Club while studying at Kirklees College, is hoping to impress the judges at the Miss West Yorkshire finals in March.

She will take part in a sportswear round, an eco-friendly category and an evening dress category.

She said: “They judge you on a lot of your charity work – I do a lot of work with animals and I like helping out a lot with animals.

“They give you a minute to talk about yourself and say who you are and what you do.

“They really want you to come across as confident so I’m going to have to work on that – but I don’t want to come across as overly confident.

“If I win it I would go through to the semi-finals of Miss England.”

Danielle, who lives with mum Jane and dad Paul, has also just finished filming a documentary series with her cheerleading team the Bradford Bullettes, due to be aired on Sky later this year.
