TWO Huddersfield singers who were kicked out of the X Factor have said they hope to stay together with band Nu Vibe.

Ashford Campbell, of Lowerhouses, and Jordan Higo, of Crosland Moor, were left disappointed after being voted out by the judges on Sunday’s X Factor results show.

The duo are carrying out a host of personal appearances in London this week, including TV interviews, before considering their next step.

Asked if they were going to split up, Jordan, a former Newsome High School and Sports College student, replied: "No, we’re hoping to get picked up by someone.

"I’d like to think that we’re going to stay together.

"We have to see what offers we get, we’re hoping a record company will give us an offer but we have to see what happens."

Ashford, 19, a former pupil at Huddersfield Grammar School, was praised by the judges for his leading man qualities.

After their exit Ashford thanked their X Factor mentor Tulisa saying: "She was really disappointed. She told us to keep going and said she believed in is and wanted to stay in touch.

"We’re really grateful to have had this experience and to have met her because she has is an amazing person.

"We’re devastated but happy at the same time because we’ve come so far and had some of the best vocal coaches and mentors in the business."
