A CHILDREN’S charity is seeking volunteers in Yorkshire.

Action Medical Research hopes to find more helpers during National Volunteers’ Week, which runs until Friday.

Every year the charity runs a busy programme of fundraising events to support its lifesaving work to help sick babies and children.

It is currently supporting research into many conditions including preventing early labour and developing treatments for babies affected by premature birth, helping children with disabilities and tackling rare diseases for which there are currently no cures.

Activities range from coffee mornings to gala dinners, bike rides to golf days and auctions to full-on choral and operatic concerts, all of which rely on volunteers.
