HAS your local pub, club or bar entered our Pub of the Year awards yet?

Time is running out to enter our inaugural awards that celebrate all that’s great about the pubs, clubs and bars in our area.

So far we’ve had dozens of entries but we’re keen to make sure as many establishments get their name down in our competition.

The premise is simple; we want to know which of the fantastic pubs, clubs and bars in Huddersfield and the surrounding area is best.

People can collect tokens, which will be printed in the Examiner, to give to their chosen pub and the pub which collects the most tokens is our winner.

But the landlord, manager or licensee of the pub, club or bar must have entered the free competition in order to be eligible.

We’ve already had entries from establishments across the area including watering holes in Slaithwaite, Meltham, Linthwaite, the town centre, Mirfield, Shelley and Quarmby to name just a few!

You can enter your pub’s details at www.examiner.co.uk/puboftheyear

All entrants will be featured in paper when we start the competition and the three who collect the most tokens will also get a special write-up when we reveal the winner.

But there are also other prizes on offer.

The winner of the Pub of the Year award will receive a full page advert and also a banner for their boozer announcing their win.

The pub in second place gets a half page advert.

The pub coming third gets a quarter page advert.

So visit www.examiner.co.uk/puboftheyear  to enter the awards and for a full list of terms and conditions.
