Singers, dancers and even fire eaters are being asked to stage their talents.

The Alternative Market is staging Hudds’ Got Talent, where performers of all genres are invited to showcase their acts in a bid to win a cash prize.

The family show will be held at Holmfirth Picturedrome on August 20, with proceeds going towards the Royal British Legion, the Mayor of Kirklees’ chosen charity.

Eight acts have so far been confirmed, with the promise of belly dancing, rock bands and theatrical singers.

Acrobats, animal acts and any other talents can apply at alternative@kirklees.gov.uk.

The eclectic show will see audiences vote for their favourite act, with the winner receiving a cash prize donated by Simon Blythe’s.

Tickets can be bought on the Picturedrome website or through their box office.
