TWO 13-year-old boy cyclists have been badly hurt in accidents.

One suffered serious head injuries when he was in an accident with a Fiat Brava car on Quarmby Road, Quarmby, outside the Fieldhead pub, at 2.10pm yesterday.

He was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

His injuries were today said not to be life-threatening.

The other boy suffered head injuries when his bike was in collision with a Land Rover Freelander at the junction of Crossfields and Holays in Dalton at 7.20pm on Tuesday.

His injuries are not thought to be serious.
