FOUR hundred students from Holmfirth and Fartown high schools are taking part in workshops with leading international company Phoenix Dance Theatre this week.

The pupils are at workshops with all 10 dancers of Leeds-based Phoenix and its education manager, Tracy Witney.

Also a group of 30 pupils - drawn from both schools - will come together for two days to create a dance on the theme of Travelling, Refugees and Cultural Diversity.

This will be performed at each school for family, friends and other members of the local community.

The workshops follow visits by both schools to see Phoenix Dance Theatre at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds.
