YOUNGSTERS from Dalton and Mirfield have been treading the hallowed turf at Manchester United's football ground.

Fifty young football fans travelled to Old Trafford on Wednesday and toured the famous stadium and museum.

The trip was organised by the Communities United Project as part of a summer programme of activities for eight to 16 year olds.

Cup, based at John William Street in Huddersfield, is a charity that engages young people in activity through sports.

Fun events have been held all over Kirklees, including martial arts, graffiti workshops, sports sessions, paintballing, motorcycling, dance classes, DJ workshops, ten pin bowling and trips to the National Football Museum in Preston and Leeds United FC.

Cup also works in support of community projects.
