A CHARITY concert has raised £1,593 for a young cancer sufferer.
Huddersfield and District Federation of Concert Secretaries held the event at Milnsbridge Socialist Club.
Artists who performed included Halifax singer Tony Wayne, Paddock guitarist and vocalist Graham Dee, singer Rachel from Huddersfield and male vocal duo Szoradis, from Huddersfield and Halifax.
A Dutch auction, raffle, barbecue and balloon race were also held.
Proceeds have been donated to two-year-old Sarah Lee.
Sarah, of Scholes, suffers from a Wilms tumor, which is a form of childhood kidney cancer.
The tumor forms when some kidney cells grow too quickly when the child is still in the womb.
Wilms tumors account for 6 to 7% of childhood cancer cases and usually occur in children aged two to three.
Harry Sykes, secretary of the Huddersfield and District Federation of Concert Secretaries, said the group was pleased to help Sarah.
He added: "I would like to thank all who worked tirelessly all day and who supported the event."
Two more concerts for Sarah will be held at Almondbury Liberal Club on July 11 and at Milnsbridge Socialist Club on August 29.
