Young citizens will be hot footing around in costumes to raise cash for charity.

Members of Paw Prints, a group of 15 local members of the National Citizenship Service, will be holding a sponsored fancy dress run around Huddersfield town centre, on August 31.

The run hopes to raise £1,000 for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, Brackenhall.

The volunteers, aged 16 and 17, held a tombola and raffle on the Piazza, on August 24, and there will be a memory tree to lost loved ones at the same venue, on August 29.
