THREE Flockton youths have received anti-social behaviour orders (Asbos).

The interim orders were handed out to the boys aged 11, 13 and 14 by Huddersfield magistrates yesterday.

Prosecuting on behalf of Kirklees Council, Sharon Healy read out a litany of alleged offences including holding a penknife to a 10-year-old girl's back and threatening to break shop windows.

She said: "The people of Flockton are suffering.

"They are scared to go out."

Defence solicitor Neil Murphy asked the court not to bring in the order.

The Asbos, which run until January 16, prevent the three from meeting, approaching named individuals or causing distress to others.

Magistrates chose to enforce an order banning the media from identifying the boys.
