Two youths who damaged bird boxes were made to clear a school’s grounds.

Police were called to Greetland Primary School to reports that bird feeders, made by children, were damaged and school chairs had been thrown across the playing fields.

Officers identified two teenage youths as being responsible for the damage and they admitted it.

As they had no previous criminal history both were made to take part in a Community Resolution.

It meant they had to de-weed the school’s Centenary Garden and carry out general cleaning of the playgrounds in order to payback the community and school for the damage they had caused.
