It's a matter of fierce pride and protectiveness that nobody messes with the best thing ever created in God's own county - so what does this County Durham pub think it's doing making a Yorkshire Pudding wrap with KEBAB MEAT?!

On Facebook Julie Firth said: "Why should anyone want this disgusting meat in a Yorkshire pudding?"

Danny Hirst called it a 'gamechanger' while Antony Robinson said it was 'just wrong'.

Anna M Catney said: "Technically its not Yorkshire pudding. It's a thick pancake and i would soooooo smash that!"

Ronnie Bray said: "Why not? It only goes to show that our puddings are as versatile as our people."

But Paul Perrin said the dish was 'an insult to Yorkshire Pudding'; Russell Lewis agreed, saying he found it 'highly offensive', and Pamela Firth added: "Why would anyone want chips with it? After you with the sick bag!"

And over on Twitter, our poll revealed 58 per cent of respondents would try out the dish, while 42% would rather pass, thank you!
