SHINE: Let's see young people shine!!

EVERYBODY knows that Britain’s Got Talent.

This week we are celebrating the fact that Huddersfield’s young people have got bags of talent too and we’re going to let it SHINE!

The Examiner is partnering national Shine Week to showcase the great young talent in our area – in all its many forms.

Shine Week, which starts today, is a festival of talent and achievement for all young people and the many positive activities they do.

Talent comes in many forms from sporting success to music and dance, creativity, leadership, caring for other people and facing adversity.

Over the coming week, we will be putting the spotlight on local youngsters’ achievements and featuring some of the many Shine events taking place in schools and communities.

The festival was launched last summer with more that 2,500 schools taking part – representing one million children and young people across the country.
