Founded in February 2000, Oscars Theatre Academy is the brain child of two extraordinary and dedicated people, Miss Paula Danholm and Miss Emmy Wilde.

Both Paula and Emmy are professional artists who together wished to provide an environment for young people to discover the joy of music and performance they themselves have experienced over the years.

Oscars strives to encourage young people to discover and fulfil their untapped potential or develop their existing skills to a professional level. Oscars students have already performed to great acclaim at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the celebrated London Palladium, Broadway, and national television.

Students have gained places at major UK Drama schools including Central School, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Rose Bruford’s and LIPA. Some are already performing on stage and screen. The courses are part time and run complimentary to main stream education. Private lessons are also available.

The academy aims to provide a friendly, family environment where students are taught to help each other to individual and common success but above all to have fun and enjoy the exciting world of the performing arts!
