We're having great fun celebrating the Tour de Yorkshire in Huddersfield this weekend!

We've got a free photobooth in The Piazza where you can have your picture taken with our themed backgrounds and props!

Dozens of you have already been down - but if you missed the first day, don't worry - we're there from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday!

On Sunday don't miss our liveblog pulling together all of the action in the race and in the crowds as the Tour comes to our area.

People young and old and even a dog have been named as the big winners on the paper’s front pages so far, despite not having to pedal one turn between them.

It’s a bit of fun organised by the Examiner’s marketing department to herald the inaugural Tour de Yorkshire.

The booth opened today and will be open again tomorrow and Sunday in honour of the weekend’s much anticipated Tour de Yorkshire race.

Everyone is welcome to have their picture taken in the tent in front of a green screen, on which the front page with the headline, ‘By Eck, I’ve Won!’, will be transposed.

People can choose whether to race to the finish line on a one-wheeled bike with no pedals or a tricycle with three riders or be snapped as one of the happy supporters of the race, which will roll through the Holme and Colne Valleys on Sunday.

One participant, Megan Bucher-Jones, a Huddersfield University student, said: “We’re going to be watching it on the university in the campus pub.

“It’s just the race that has brought cycling to our attention...we may take it up ourselves.

“It’s going to be a fun day.”

The booth is open tomorrow from 11am-5pm and on Sunday from 11am - 4pm.

West Yorkshire Combined Authority has asked travellers using the roads to plan ahead to avoid getting caught up in rolling road closures, expected to last between 20 and 60 minutes on roads on or near the route.

All you need to do is visit our marquee at the Piazza which will be situated on the green near the Art Gallery and Library. Once you’ve had your photo taken, we’ll email it to you and you can share it instantly on social media with the hashtag #TdYBooth. You could even feature on our website or even in the paper!

There will be a special blue and yellow edition of the paper on Saturday May 2, and after the tour has been and gone we will be featuring plenty of photos and a roundup of all of the action.
