Bank win

UNDERBANK Rangers claimed the local bragging rights with a 50-12 triumph over Meltham All Blacks in Division IV.

It was a disappointing result for the visitors, who had been showing some solid form towards the back end of the season.

But for the second week on the trot they struggled to raise a strong side and travelled with just 13 men.

As a result, the All Blacks found the going tough and by half-time were 26-6 adrift, although they did take the lead when Rob Lewis followed up an Alan Williams chip-through and Richard Ellis converted.

In the second half, Meltham did continue to create chances and were rewarded with a second try from Ellis, who again added the extras.

In Division III, Lindley Swifts were able to maintain their late charge up the table with a 26-22 triumph at Undercliffe.

But in Division V, Moldgreen A were beaten 54-18 by West Craven, while St Joseph's A lost 38-30 to Wyke A in Division VI.
