Haigh's first in final win

IN-FORM Underbank Rangers Under 14s finished the season in style with a solid 32-12 triumph over Slaithwaite Saracens.

The win was capped with a fearless run from man-of-the-match Jake Haigh who scored his first try of the season.

Other tries during the away win came from Tom Price with a hat trick, Euan Fulton and Zac Donlan.

Conversions came from Gaz Atkinson and Josh Finch.

The Under 10s also ended the season on a high with a 42-24 away win against Halifax Vandals.

The solid squad showed it meant business with a try from Lewis Churm in the opening minutes, converted by Jack Turner.

Three further tries came in the first half with two of them coming from man-of-the-match Coby Ettienne and one from Andy Dransfield, which were accurately kicked by Andy Cuthill and Jack Wilson.

With the score at 22-12 at half- time, Bank upped the pace with some solid tackling by the whole squad.

Ettienne opened the scoring in the second half with his hat trick try, which he converted.

More points came from Cuthill, who scored a brace in the second half with some exceptional runs and two more from Churm for his hat trick.

James Hartley added a solid conversion at the final whistle.

The squad is now preparing for a festival at Brighouse Rangers on Saturday and a Super League curtain-raiser against Huddersfield Sharks at the Galpharm on Sunday when the Giants host Harlequins.
