Saracens young guns stop Wyke

SLATHWAITE Under 8s finished their season in style with a 30-0 victory over Wyke.

Coach's man-of-the-match Jamie Kelly led the tryscoring with a hat trick, with referee's man-of-the-match Dominic Kendall scoring twice and Ben Dickinson adding the other.

Kendall, Dickinson and top tackler Thomas Pigford landed the goals, while Billy Bamforth was the most improved player.

And Meltham All Blacks Under 8s rounded off their season with a 24-0 derby win over Lindley Swifts.

Victory was secured thanks to tries from man-of-the-match Jack Clifford, Jordan Williams and Darren Walker.

Most improved player was Christian Pestell and Walker was the player of the week.

The Under 9s were beaten 36-28 by Halifax Vandals.

Michael Tooley marked his last game before his family leaves for a new life in New Zealand by producing a man-of-the-match performance with a two-try display.

There were also tries for Daniel King, Oliver Szlachcic, Jacob Glover and top tackler Jack Evans.
