All Blacks victorious

MELTHAM ALL BLACKS are finally celebrating victory in Division IV after a 28-6 triumph over Stainland Stags.

A solid defence was the key to the win, combined with some strong running from all involved.

First-half tries came from Richard Ellis and Matthew Hird, who also converted.

And in the second half, Shane Dawson and Rob Lewis (2) added further tries.

Best back for Meltham was Rob Lewis, best forward and man-of-the-match was Shane Dawson.

Slaithwaite A team earned another good win with a 34-24 victory against Balderstone.

From a good all-round team effort there were outstanding performances from Chris Wood, Glynn Atkins, Chris Broadhead, Richard Fryer and captain Paul Beale.

Man-of-the-match was Graham Hall and Ian McLaren had a solid game on his debut.
