Shaw’s shock

JODY SHAW has been left reeling after being sacked by Premier Division St Joseph’s.

The club’s former coach had been in charge for over two seasons, guiding them into the Pennine League top flight and to two Holliday Cup finals.

But he was informed at the weekend that St Joseph’s wanted to make a fresh start and a move in a different direction.

“When I was told about the decision I was shocked, devastated and also annoyed,” he said.

“When I arrived here the side were bottom of Division I, but they are now in the Premier Division and I was looking forward to seeing how far I could take them.”
