Amateur RL: Underbank chief full of confidence
UNDERBANK coach Richard Knight is in a confident mood as his side looks to build on their four-match winning run at Hemel Stags in tomorrow’s Co-operative Conference National clash.
Rangers take the long journey down to North London to face a Hemel side currently lying second in the table with eight wins from their 11 games.
Their three defeats were against all the other sides in the top four – Bramley, Nottingham and Underbank, who won the opening match of the season 26-24 against the Stags.
Last weekend, the in-form Stags comfortably beat East Lancashire Lions and Rangers won in similar mode 44-14 at Gateshead Storm.
So the stage is set for an almighty top-Four battle in the competition’s game of the round.
Knight is looking forward to the mouth-watering clash, and realises the importance of the fixture.
"After four consecutive victories away from home we travel to Hemel looking to hit our goal of winning five on the run before we return home against Featherstone a week on Saturday," said Knight.
