Amateur RL: Weather holds the key to weekend's fixtures

A WEATHER watch is the order of the day for many Huddersfield amateur clubs this weekend.

With Kirklees Council having taken the decision to call off all sporting matches played on their pitches, several Pennine League fixtures have fallen by the wayside.

And with West Yorkshire having been handed a severe weather warning for this weekend, there are fears the entire programme could be wiped out.
