UNDER-STRENGTH Emley Moor almost secured a victory against all the odds at Silsden Park Rangers in Division II.
In the end, the visitors were beaten 42-35.
But the fact they made the trip with just 11 men and Ben Adamson suffered an injury after 10 minutes makes this a very acceptable final scoreline.
Moor must have feared the worse at half-time as they trailed 40-12.
However, they showed incredible spirit after the interval to hold their opponents at bay and emerged with great credit.
Glenn Holdsworth led the Emley tryscoring with two, while others came from Chris Shepherd, Mick Hanmer, Taff Barron and Marlon Joswick.
John Roebuck landed five goals, while Holdsworth also added a drop goal.
This was a result which Moor will be looking to build on in the weeks ahead, although they have now lost the services of former Giants Academy forward Jon Gledhill who has joined Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
His departure comes on the back of prop forward Jason Southwell signing for Dewsbury Rams.
