Newsome to discover semi-final rivals

Defending champions Newsome A will know by Sunday who they face for a semi-final slot in the Huddersfield Junior Team Knockout.

They will face either Milnsbridge BC or Kirkheaton Con, who meet in the first round at Almondbury BC on Saturday.

The winners of the other first-round ties – Almondbury BC v Broad Oak BC at Milnsbridge and Newsome WMC B v Penistone B at Brockholes – will face each other in the last eight, which will be played on Saturday, July 19 (10am). The semi-finals and final will be played at Syngenta on Saturday, September 6 (6.30pm).

Quarter finals (July 19) – Brockholes BC (6) v Almondbury Lib (18) at Newsome WMC or Penistone BC; Bradley and Colne (12) v Penistone A at Kirkheaton Con; Newsome A (Scr) v Milnsbridge BC (24) or Kirkheaton Con (30) at Broad Oak BC; Almondbury BC (18) or Broad Oak BC (36) v Newsome WMC B (24) or Penistone B (36) at either Newsome or Penistone.
