Bowls: Sutton top of the shop

ROY SUTTON was top of the shop after winning the Huddersfield Veterans League Select Players competition.

The Waterloo BC bowler beat Terry Randerson, of Milnsbridge BC, 21-16 in the Lindley BC-staged final to receive the £70 winner’s cheque.

In the semi-finals, Sutton beat Waterloo clubmate Frank Griffin 21-17 while Randerson pipped Eddie Haigh, of Lockwood Con, 21-18.
