ROBERT HOPPER of Bradley and Colne claimed his fourth trophy of the season by beating teammate David Ryding in the final of the Peter Firth Under 16 singles competition.

Ryding pushed Hopper all the way throughout the final but Hopper held his nerve and calmly bowled his way to a 15-11 win.

Rhys and Fern Beaumont, of Broad Oak were awarded the best boy and girl prizes by Keith Manning while Huddersfield Junior League officials expressed thanks to hosts Kirkheaton CBC and referees.
