Bowls: Yorkshire start with Roses rout

YORKSHIRE began their county campaign with a crushing 474-380 victory over Lancashire.

The home squad led the way at Newsome WMC with a 240-180 success and the away team were equally convincing in victory with a 234-200 margin at Garswood Labour Club in Ashton-in-Makerfield.
