Callum’s a big hit in huge cup-tie shock

THE four outstanding Paddock Shield games brought victories for Barkisland, Delph, Kexborough and Central League Hoylandswaine – who mirrored their first team by dumping out a Drakes League side.

And that was Premiership Two side Micklehurst, with 16-year-old Callum Lee carving nine sixes and three fours in an unbeaten 80, after Steve Webb’s six for 36.

There was heavy scoring, too, at Hall Bower, where Ben Dunne cracked 114 and Danny Moss 71 lifting them to 274-5. But Kexborough knocked them off – Luke Potter 88 and Richard Burgess 93 not out.
