Honley still waiting

HONLEY are still waiting to see who they will face in the quarter-finals of the Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions’ Trophy.

They will be at home to the winners of the Hull & YPI v Collingham & Linton tie, who are yet to complete their first round match.

One team they will be glad to have missed is York, who created a new competition record when they smashed a mammoth 454-4 against Cullingworth, eclipsing Elsecar’s previous best of 426-4, set back in 2003.

They now face Clifton Alliance (apparently on an adjoining field) in the next round.
