Cricket: It’s do or die for top rivals

EITHER Honley or Scholes face elimination from the Romida Twenty20 tonight, when the two sides clash at Far End Lane.

For both sides lost their opening ties last week, and defeat tonight will almost certainly rule out further progress in the competition for the losers.

Holmfirth, who beat Honley last week, make the very short journey down the road to Thongsbridge, who had a bye on the opening night.

Holders Delph & Dobcross visit Slaithwaite, while there is another big clash at Elland, where Golcar are the visitors, both sides having wins to their name last week. Two other unbeaten sides are Kirkburton and Kirkheaton who meet at Riley Lane.

A table will be published after tomorrow evening’s Pool games have been completed.
