Cricket: Copley's record return

Bashford then returned to the frame to claim three wickets for ten runs as only three batsmen made starts and made it into the 20’s but failed to kick on.
The game was soon wrapped up as Linthwaite were skittled out for 103. The result leaves Hoylandswaine joint top of the Haigh pool with Broad Oak.
Definitely out are Hall Bower, well beaten by Armitage Bridge, where Faheem Hussain top-scored with 31, while Danny Moorhouse hit 27 and then picked up three for 35, and Meltham who failed to raise a side for the visit to Delph & Dobcross.
Delph were handed the points, while Meltham will surely pick up a fine from the Executive for not honouring a fixture, which no doubt cost the home side dearly in bar takings.
Armitage Bridge 151 (F Hussain 31, D Moorhouse 27; B Dunne 4-21) Hall Bower 122 (S Barry 25; D Moorhouse 3-35, K Schramm 3-11).
Micklehurst 122 (T Simpson 3-19) Slaithwaite 173 (M Hainsworth 60, M Welsh 25; B Downend 3-14).
Shelley 74 (Q Rashid 3-11, S Dyson 3-14) Skelmanthorpe 78-2 (S Ahmed 29).
Lascelles Hall 213-7 (R Godage 96no, S Nazir 28; A Waring 3-36) Lepton Highlanders 168 (T Lyons 55; W Parker 4-22).
