Cricket: Tom home for key test
Jun 20 2009 by David Lockwood, Huddersfield Daily Examiner
TOM BROOK will be on home territory tomorrow, when he leads his Joe Lumb Cup side out against North Yorkshire & South Durham at Scholes (1.00).
Brook’s side are so far unbeaten in three outings, having beaten the Doncaster League, the Halifax League and the Nidderdale League.
But tomorrow’s clash promises to be the toughest they have faced so far.
Manager Richard Dodson has named a 16-man squad, again including the Yorkshire Academy players, with three members of the party from Skelmanthorpe as well as a trio from Broad Oak.
Players are asked to meet at the Chapelgate ground at noon and the squad is:
Tom Brook (Capt), Tom Boorman (both Scholes), Tom Barber, Dom Storey, Jamie Jagger (all Skelmanthorpe), Luke Menworthy (Meltham), Jack Pulley (Elland), Edward Wilson, Jack Hargreaves, Gurman Randhawa (all Broad Oak), George Smith and Oliver Davidson (Kirkburton), Alex Kemp (Thongsbridge), Callum Geldart, Naseer Rahman (both Denby Dale).
