SIX-WICKET STAR ENDS UP LOSING!
HARRY COOPER was a six-wicket star for Thongsbridge – and still finished on the losing side!
Cooper bagged his six wickets for just two runs as Crigglestone fell from 70-2 to 76 all out.
The Crigglestone bowlers, however, soon got to work and skittled Thongsbridge for 58.
Sam Russell had an outstanding match for them, taking three wickets for five runs after scoring 26 runs.
Another good all-round performance was by Joel Barker of Golcar, who scored 28 in the mammoth total of 176-2 against Marsden and then took three wickets for one run as the opposition were sent back for 60.
Both Slaithwaite and Augustinians topped the 150 mark in their 20 overs to secure victories over Micklehurst and Lascelles Hall, with five lads retiring on 25 for Slaithwaite and one for Augustinians.
Rastrick maintained their position at the top of Area A with a win over Meltham in a match where eight batsmen were run out, four for each team.
Thurstonland managed to record their first win of the season in overcoming Shepley, with George Pinder top scoring.
