Cricket: Alec Stewart confirms availability for rearranged Huddersfield League dinner

ALEC STEWART remains the main speaker at the rearranged Drakes Huddersfield Cricket League annual dinner.

The ex-England captain has confirmed his availability for the big event, which should have taken place on Friday but has now been put back to February 26, still at the Cedar Court Hotel at Ainley Top, because of the big freeze.

Executive secretary Trevor Atkinson, said: “We have been in touch with Alec Stewart and he has confirmed he is available, but comedian Josh Daniels has another engagement.”

Anyone unable to make the new date should contact Atkinson, who added: “We are working on the assumption that clubs will require the same ticket allocation unless otherwise advised.”
