Town duo give youngsters a party surprise

TOWN stars Michael Collins and Malvin Kamara were guests of honour as Golcar United Under Nines celebrated with a festive party at the club’s Rose and Crown base in the village.

After a long absence of junior teams, the club now proudly boast two at Under Nine level in the RCD Huddersfield Junior League. They were formed by manager Steve Russell.

The Town players thrilled delighted youngsters, who had a chance to chat with the stars as they signed autographs and drew raffle tickets.

But it is not the first time the Golcar players have experienced ‘star treatment’ after receiving coaching sessions from former Town aces Delroy Facey and Rodney Rowe along with Colin Alcide (ex-Lincoln) and England women’s footballer Sammy Britton.

Golcar United are looking to expand their junior section to feature more players from different age groups.

For more information contact Steve Russell on 07931 105606.
