Ladies suffer Cup defeat

SHEFFIELD gained revenge on Town Ladies for their defeat in the Women’s FA Cup by handing out a resounding 4-0 defeat in the second round of the Hallamshire Cup.

Jade Robshaw and Sue Elrington had decent chances, but it was Sheffield who took the lead after 37 minutes.

In the second half Town were hit on the break in the 65th, 74th and 80th minutes.

Town captain Emma Poole was player of the match.

The reserves are at home on Sunday to Leeds City Vixens (Grange Moor, 11.00). The Under 12s are away to Wigton Moor (10.30) on Saturday while the Under 14s are at home to Lepton (10.30).
