Meltham Athletic bowed out of the Premier Division Cup when they were beaten 3-2 by Lower Hopton.

Title-challengers Meltham looked to be cruising when goals by Paul Waddington and Tom Mathews gave them a 2-0 cushion but Hopton’s Ernest Boalfo pulled a goal back before the break.

After the restart Hopton’s defence restricted Meltham to few chances and goals by Mark Gatenby and Matthew Kilner sent them into the final.
