FC HALIFAX Town claimed a point away with a 1-1 draw at derby rivals Bradford Park Avenue.
However, the Blue Square North point came at a cost as the Shaymen lost their leading scorer, Gareth Seddon to a second half red card.
Town took the lead in the first half courtesy of Seddon, after the striker was allowed to turn in the box following a slip from his marker, and prod the ball home.
Just before the interval Bradford were level as former Town player Danny Holland saw his free effort from a direct kick deflected in off the far post.
The second half was lacking in terms of goals but not action with Seddon was sent off for an off-the-ball incident after much deliberation by the officials.
Halifax’s Chris Worsley then had a claim for a penalty waved away after the midfielder was adjudged to have dived in the box.
A string of fine saves from Matt Glennon secured a point for the travelling Shaymen, after Town were put under immense pressure.
