STRIKER Jamie Rainford has gone out on loan from FC Halifax Town.

The 24-year-old has linked up with Blue Square North divisional rivals Colwyn Bay for a month.

The news comes as manager Neil Aspin prepares his fifth-placed squad for tomorrow’s trip to leaders Brackley Town, who are a point ahead of Chester City and two in front of Guiseley.

Colwyn Bay are trying to improve on 15th place as they go to second-bottom Droylsden and they hope Rainford can give them a nudge in what is his second loan spell of the campaign follow a stint at Marine.

Halifax have also confirmed Liam Needham has returned to the Shay following his loan spell at fellow Blue Square North side Bradford Park Avenue.

Brighouse Town, meanwhile, are getting ready for tomorrow’s trip to Hall Road Rangers in the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division (3.00).

Rangers Reserves scored a 6-3 home win over Volunteer Arms in the second round of the Halifax District Cup in midweek.

Two goals from Ruben Jerome were not enough to prevent Rangers being behind at the break, but they hit back to win through Eli Hey’s hat trick (two penalties) and a strike from Jordan Townend.
