New lady captain at Longley Park Golf Club

JOAN REILLY has been installed as the new lady captain at Longley Park Golf Club for their Centenary year.

Mrs Reilly, wife of former PGA captain Parnell, was presented with the Captain’s brooch at the Ladies annual meeting when she took over from Lynda Parker, who was thanked for her dedication during her year of office.

Prizes and YWCGA medals were presented, while the officers for the coming year were confirmed as: captain: J Reilly; past captain: L Parker; captain-elect: V Howbridge; secretary J Jessjop; treasurer: A Blanchard; committee: M Atkinson, E Booth, A Hanley, D Micklethwaite, M Millman, B Todd.
