THIS week is the last chance to join the hunt for a FREE golf holiday in the Examiner’s annual Matchplay Championship.

Although the closing date is officially this Saturday, April 2, we are giving entrants a few extra days to get their entries in before the competition is drawn at the end of next week.

This year’s winner of the Examiner Matchplay – with the final being played at Crosland Heath in September – will win a wonderful holiday to Spain’s Costa del Sol for five days of competition at the La Cala and Mijas courses.

Following the publication of today’s coupon, would-be competitors have until first post on Thursday morning to get their entries in, after which the organisers will draw out the first round, which will subsequently be published and every entrant will also be informed by post.

Dates worth checking before entering the competition is the date of the Grand Final at Crosland Heath, on Thursday, September 22, while the holiday (for the lucky winner or anyone else who simply wants to book and join the Examiner’s Overseas Challenge) departs on Thursday, November 10 for a week.
