FIXBY golfer Pat Wrightson added another honour to her long list of credits, when she won the Second Flight of the English Ladies Senior Championship at York Golf Club.

After being beaten in the Championship – won by Sue Dye from Cheshire – she worked her way through Flight Two, beating Formby’s Fiona Anderson 4 and 3 in the semis to set up an all-Yorkshire showdown with Ganton’s Carolyn Kirk in the final.

And it was the Huddersfield lady Wrightson who took first prize, beating her Yorkshire veterans teammate Kirk, two up.
