IT WAS great for fans to hear the views of relatively recent additions, Robbie Williams and Phil Jevons, at the last Patrons meeting.
The addition to the first team squad of seasoned professionals with experience at a higher level is sure to help the younger lads coming through.
It was fantastic to see Rob Page added to the squad. He was immense at Oldham and his experience will be vital over the next few months.
What a great performance by Town and by the fans at Oldham. There was a terrific atmosphere throughout and a good, hard-fought victory in very difficult conditions. Well done to all involved. So now we have Chelsea to come!
When the Patrons committee were asked to contribute to the thinking on away ticketing for the Leeds game, I don’t think anyone believed it would be used at least twice more before a chance to review it came along.
It is to be hoped that we can once again sell out the end at Chelsea. Last time was a great experience for the supporters and players but let’s hope we will all be less in awe of them this time around.
After a great upset against Birmingham we have to go there with belief!
Our next meeting is at the Panasonic Suite next Thursday, February 7 (8.00). It’s the annual Patrons Quiz where teams from the club (players and staff), the media, Patrons and Supporters Club, show off their knowledge and try to avoid the wooden spoon.
It’s a fun, relaxing night with a chance to win some spot prizes. Come along and have a look!
No dress code, no age limits up or down, just a group of interested Town fans.
The Patrons are organising travel to the match at Port Vale on April 12.
The coach will leave the Galpharm at 9.45 and it’s £18 per head (including executive coach travel and lunch at a venue on the way).
Our trips are always great value as we run them only aiming to break-even, and we are considering what to do about travel to the Chelsea cup-tie. Watch this space.
We are always looking for views from fans and for people to get involved with the Patrons. Find out information at www.htafcpatrons.com or e-mail info@htafcpatrons.com
