TOP names from the golden era of darts will be in action at the Batley Frontier Club a week tomorrow, Friday July 18.

They are taking part in the Betfred.com League of Legends darts tournament, which is a new event being broadcast live by satellite company Setanta Sports.

Some of the most illustrious players of the sport’s 1980s halcyon days are taking part: Bobby George, Keith Deller, Dave Whitcombe, Peter Evison, Eric Bristow, John Lowe, Bob Anderson and Cliff Lazarenko.

This event has really captured the public’s imagination and is proving a major success, with the contestants relishing the opportunity they have been given to relive their battles of yesteryear!

In conjunction with sponsors Betfred.com, the Examiner has a fantastic prize to give away to mark the arrival of the Betfred.com League of Legends in Batley next week.
