Athletics: Andrew Pearson in smashing 10k form!
ANDREW PEARSON is enjoying his return to competitive action.
The latest victory for the Longwood Harriers ace was in his own club’s Joe Percy 10K.
Former international Pearson, 37, held off Holmfirth Harriers pair Matthew Pierson and Richard Smith to win the event from Thurstonland Cricket Club – and smash the course record by 30 seconds in the process.
Pearson made light work of the hilly course, which takes in Farnley Tyas, to run 31min 50sec. Pierson finished second in 32-38 and Smith third in 35-10.

For the seconds, Chris Sampson took first place in the hammer and Donald Kennedy won the 800m.
