Boxing: Barnsley date for Huddersfield boxer Tyrone Nurse

The twice former junior ABA champion is due to take on Carl Allen, the Wolverhampton fighter twice beaten by Nurse last year.

Fellow Rotherham product Mansoori, and ex-schoolboys champion, will make his professional debut against another first timer, Barnsley light-middleweight Craig Tomes.

Huddersfield fight fans who turned out in force to back Nurse against Nesbitt at the Sports Centre last month, will be eager to see their man further underline his credentials.

He produced a full array of punches during the points success, and said: “I feel ready to go 12 rounds now, and hopefully I can step things up next year.

“I like the old-school route of going for an area title and hopefully building up for a Commonwealth or British shot, and a good show next month will take me further down that route.”

Tickets for the show, which includes a three-course meal and entertainment from a comedian (dress smart-casual) are £50.

Contact Aston on 07917 881114 or Nurse on 07887 542995 for details.
