RENEE FACEY led the way with a silver medal on the bars as Greenhead Gymnastics Club finished a creditable sixth in the L4 section of the Isle of Man Invitational event.

Joining Renee in the team were Emily Ellis, Olivia Proctor, Lauren Hayes and Joanna Wilkinson.

In the L7 competition in Halifax the 11/12 years team took gold with Brooke Kelk, Chloe Chadwick, Elizabeth Davey, Leah Hague and Ariana Riley achieving a score of 176.0.

The 9/10 years team of Amy Conway, Elena Martin, Cairo Buchanan, Julia Marshall and Lucy Sayles-Balmer took the bronze with a score of 173.1.

And the 7/8 years team of Lauren Weir, Tia Johnson, Hope Clarke, Emily Howarth and Libby Redmond came fourth with a score of 169.78.

The L6 team travelled to York and the team of Antonia Mightly, Sophia Kimber, Rosie Wragg, Leah Hirst and Alisha Joof achieved a score of 169.75 to give them team silver.

Six teams returned to York to take part in the One Piece Christmas Competition and came home with a host of individual medals and team awards.

In the L6, 6/7/8 years, competition Greenhead won a team gold with a score of 44.1.

Leah Thirst (floor) and Sophia Kimber (beam) picked up individual golds and Antonia Mightly achieved a silver on the bars and Rosie Wragg a bronze on the vault.

Another gold was won with a score of 42.95 in the L4, 8-11 years, team event.

Olivia Proctor (vault), Renee Facey (bars) and Olivia Patchett (floor) won gold medals and Lauren Hayes took bronze on the beam.

The FIG team picked up a silver with a score of 41.65.

Emily Ellis (vault) and Siobhan Elliott (beam) won gold with Lauren Arthur (bars) and Amy Foreman (floor) winning silver.

The L6, 9/10 years, team won a silver with a score of 43.15.

Claire Fallon won gold on the beam and Amy Conway took bronze on the bars in a team with Elena Martin and Julie Marshall.

The L6, 11/12 years, team won a bronze when Olivia Buchanan took a gold on the bars, supported by team-mates Elizabeth Davey, Leah Hague and Chloe Chadwick.
